Richard Palmer - Saturday 6th February 2010.

We had an very good evening with Richard Palmer, he gave us some excellent covers of songs, he is really up to date with his material, he did covers such as "Does the wind still blow in Oklahoma", "She believes in me", "Mexico", "Home to Louisianna", "Toes","Angel of no mercy", "Would you go with me" and many, many more.

Richard has an amazing, powerful voice, he really does put such effort into every song. We had a good turn out for Richard, he is a very popular artist.

Many thanks to all who came along & had an enjoyable night, and thank you again to everybody that stays and helps us to clear away at the end of the evening - we really do appreciate you all.

Alan Gregory - Saturday 2nd January 2010

Well we certainly started the New Year in brilliant style with Alan Gregory!

Alan is very popluar at our club, everybody loves his great personality, his musical ability & enthusiasm on stage, he is a perfectionist and it shows in his performance. Alan always gives a great evening, he is very up to date with his material, he sang the new Doc Walker track "What do you see", Josh Turners "Why don't we just dance" and too many more to mention. Everybody knows when you go to see Alan you go home with a smile on your face and aching feet from all the dancing.

We had a very full hall, almost full to bursting, we had visitors from Essex and Hampshire, plus all our members and friends. We really did have a fantastic night, it was so nice to see Alan's wife Jackie too.

A very big thank you to all who came along, even bigger thanks to Alan.

MT Allan - Saturday December 5th 2009.

MT Allan were at our club tonight to entertain us, and entertain us they did, with three excellent sets of country music, along with their great personalities and humour they made it a great evening.

Malc Allan & dave Inglis make up the duo, but sadly not for much longer as they are going their seperate ways after christmas.

We had some great covers including " Laid back and low key", "Cabo San Lucas" and "Rolling with the flow". It was a lovely mix.

They are both great musicians, excellent guitar work & have a smashing rapot with the crowd, making it fun all round. Thanks a lot Macl & Dave, best wishes to you both in your new ventures.

Richard Palmer - Saturday 7th November 2009.

We has a very sucessful evening with Richard, he is very entertaining, very up to date with his material and very popular.

He did three excellent sets, we had covers including "White rose", "Moonlight kiss","Wanna be Elvis" and many, many more.

We had a really nice crowd in and a great atmosphere. I think everyone went home with aching feet from all the dancing.

A big thank you to everyone that came along and supported us.

Travis Logan - Saturday 3rd October 2009.

We had our first taste of Travis Logan at our club, and it was certanly country! Couldn't fault that at all.

He has just been awarded British Male Vocalist of the year, also his album was voted Album of the Year, so many congratulations Travis on that.

We were treated to some good country songs from the likes of Vernon Oxford, Charley Pride, Ed Bruce, George Strait, Josh Turner and many more traditonal country singers.

It was good to see some new faces at the club, we had visitors from different clubs, always very welcome.

Chris Mezza - Saturday 1st August 2009.

Chris Mezza made a very welcome return to our club - and not before time.

We had a really good night, a thoroughly enjoyable evening, Chris said how much he enjoyed the evening also, which was nice of him.

He gave us three very enteraining set's of pure country music from " Billy B Bad", "I just want to dance with you" to "Cabo San Lucas", "Rolling with the flow", "Toes" and many more, it was a great mixture of country music.

Thanks to everyone that came along and made it a great evening, also big thanks to our band of helpers that help us set up for the night, and clear away at the end. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Dane Stevens - Saturday 2nd May 2009

We had a really good night. Dane is very talented, providing us with three excellent sets of Pure Country Music, we had covers of songs such as "Cabo San Lucas", "Galway Girl", "Oklahoma Wind", "Angel of No Mercy", "Would you go with me", "Ride the River", "Rollin with the Flow", "It only hurts me when I Cry", "Some Beach",  "Sundown in Nashville" & So many more, most of the above mentioned Songs are on Danes New CD called "Solo" which is very good indeed.

Dane really does keep the Dancers busy all evening, it was so good to see him & Kathy.
The evening ended far too soon, but before Dane & Kathy left us, they assisted us with the ritual of the Rolling up of our Back Drop.

Haydens Country - Saturday 4th April 2009

We had Hayden's Country to Entertain us all, he did just that, we had a brilliant evening.

Hayden has a Great voice & he did some excellent covers such as "Cowboy & A Dancer", "Laid back n Low Key", "White Rose", "My Veronica", "High Class Lady", "Ride the River", "Would you go with me", "Where you gonna go" and also an extremely good version of Merle Haggards "In my next life".

Hayden is very talented & you're always sure of a great enjoyable evening .

It was nice to see some new people at the Club, along with our members & many visitors, thanks for coming & making it another successful evening. Val.

American Spirit - Saturday 7th March 2009

Our Entertainment for the evening were American Spirit, Dave & Dave.

We had a great night, they really are very entertaining, Dave Ellis on Lead & Rhythm Guitar & Vocals, & Dave Wilson Rhythm Guitar & Vocals, they both have smashing personalities. They gave us some excellent covers of Pure Country Music, from the likes of, Alan Jackson "Laid Back n Low Key", Rodney Atkins "Before the Devil", Tracy Byrds "Cowboy & A Dancer", Colin Raye "April Fool", Kenny Rogers "Someone must feel like a fool tonight", The Eagles "How Long" & so many more.

Both Dave's looked very smart on stage, changing for each set, & they really do know how to come across, A very friendly couple of Lad's, a pleasure to watch & Listen if you don't dance. But they kept the dancers busy all night, making it a great atmosphere,  We'd like to Thank Everyone that came along & Contributed in making it a great night. Val.

Brushwood - Saturday 7th February 2009

 

They really are very talented, vocally & instrumentally. We had three excellent set's of good Country covers, ranging from, Josh Turners "Would you go with me", Mark Chesnutt "Rollin' with the Flow", Alan Jackson "Laid back n Low Key", Tracy Byrd "Cowboy & a Dancer", Steve Earl "Galway Girl", Toby Keith & Mica Roberts "Lets get Trashed" & Kenny Rogers "She believes", also some of their own numbers.

It was a great mix & they kept the dancers busy all night. Despite the terrible Icy weather, we had a really good turnout, we like to send a Very Big Thank you to everyone that came & supported us, Especially to "Brushwood" who gave us an excellent evenings entertainment, we do hope you made it to Cornwall safely the next day.  Alan Gregory - Saturday 3rd January 2009

Well the start of another year and what a way to start! With the ever popular Alan Gregory. Alan is not only easy on the ear, but is also excellent to Dance to, as he proved by keeping the Dance Floor full all evening. Alan is so upto date with his material covering so many songs, such as "Rollin' with the Flow", "My Heart Skips a Beat", "Angel of no Mercy", "White Rose", "High Class Lady" - he also performed a brand new song for the first time - "Carbo San lucas" a Toby Keith number, He did an excellent job of it to.

As usual Alan projects such a good feeling when he appears on stage, that its always a huge pleasure to listen, watch & dance  to, he really is one of the Best Solo Artists on our Scene, well that's our Opinion anyway … It Shows, as he has a lot of Followers.
 
Alan does all the Backing Tracks himself, so a lot of hard work goes into every performance, Thank's Alan.
 

Also A Very Big Thank You to everyone that came, we had a great turnout, a Packed Hall, we had visitors from all over, good to see you all.  Val.

 

 

Souls n Stone - Saturday 6th December 2008

We really did end our year in a great way ,with Greg & Jaynie 'Souls n Stone'.

They are both very entertaining & work so well together. We had some very good covers of songs such as "Cowboy & A Dancer", "Rollin' with the Flow", "Galway Girl", "White Rose" to name but a few, we also had a great mix of new & old numbers.

 Livewire - Saturday 1st November 2008

 We had a new Duo to our Club, Livewire, & they went down very well.

Ainsley & Debbie are excellent, both play Guitar & sing, they are very upto date with their material, giving us three great set's with covers such as "Rollin' with the Flow", "Cowboy & A Dancer", "Laid Back n Low Key", "Does the Wind still Blow in Oklahama", "High Class Lady" and also some older numbers "Tougher than the Rest", "Some Beach", "Closer", "Sud's in the Bucket", and so many more.

They both have a great stage presence, they changed outfits for every set, Debbie even came on the Dance floor at one time & joined in with the Dancers, also Ainsley joined in with the Tush Push , while singing & Playing guitar... and they say it's only women that can Multi task !!!  ;)

All in all it really was a great evening of fun & excellent Country Music. Thank's Ainsley & Debbie and also a Very big thank you to everyone that came along, all our helpers at the end of the evening! You are much appreciated.  Val

 

American Spirit - Saturday 4th October 2008

Well the Weather was at it again, same as last month, rain. But despite that we had a great night with American Spirit. Dave Ellis on Lead & Rhythm Guitar and Lead & Harmony Vocals. Dave Wilson on Rhythm Guitar & Vocals. Or better known as the Two Dave's, which proved much confusion as our DJ is also Dave…!

We were treated to a great mix of Country Music, as the two Dave's said, that's just what you get from them, "nothing but country music!" Great! just as we like it.

They gave us some good covers such as:- "How Long" The Eagles, "Cowboy & A Dancer" Tracy Byrd, "Laid Back n Low Key" Alan Jackson, "If you're Going Through Hell" Rodney Atkins, "April Fool" Colin Raye, & so many more. It really was a very enjoyable evening, Thank You to everyone for supporting us & making it a great success.

Vegas

 Vegas - Saturday 6th September 2008

Despite the terrible weather, real heavy rain, we had a very good turn out for the Duo Vegas, Rob Childs, Lead Vocals & Guitar & Andy Sapphire. Vocals, Guitar & Mandolin.

We were thoroughly entertained by them, they are both very Talented musicians, Instrumentally & Vocally. We had a great mix of music from the likes of The Mavericks, Mark Chesnutt, Josh Turner, Rodney Atkins, George Jones, Colin Raye & so many more, the Dance Floor was very busy. What with Some Great Country Music & Rob's Comedy it was a successful night.

 Alan Gregory - Saturday 2nd August 2008

We had one of our Clubs Favourites to entertain us & he does just that.

As always Alan kept the dance floor very busy all night, just as you think you can sit down, you're up again, just as everyone likes it. A fantastic evening, he did covers from the likes of The Lennerockers "High Class Lady", & "Five Jean Jackets", George Strait "Make her fall in love with me song" the Dance "Play me A Dancer".
 
Alan Jackson "Laid Back & Low Key", Mark Chesnutt "Rollin' With The Flow", Tracy Byrds "Cowboy & A Dancer", The Eagles "How Long" & so many more . Alan really does keep so upto date with the music for all the top dances, he always has such a good stage presence, so much energy, he has a great sense of Humour & he is so much Fun, every body loves him.
 
We'd like to thank all that came along & made it an enjoyable evening.

 Bobby D Sawyer - Saturday 5th July 2008

We had another successful night Sat 5th July with Bobby D Sawyer at Crowborough.
 
Bobby did a very good varied mix of music all evening, some older and alot of newer covers. We had lan Jacksons "If love was a River," Brad Paisleys "Ticks", Gary Allan's "Drinkin Dark Whiskey", The Eagles "How Long", Rodney Atkins "Watching You". Also covers from George Strait, Blake Shelton, Tracy Byrd, and so many more.
 
Bobby really does project a Happy atmosphere on the evening, we had a great night all round, a really good crowd in.

 Bob Keeley - Saturday 7th June 2008

Bob Keeley made his first appearance at our Club as a Solo Artist and  we were not disappointed. He has a great personality and one of the biggest smiles on the Country Music Circuit. Bob gave us three excellent sets of Country Music - ranging from the likes of Marty Robbins " Devil Woman ", Keith Urbans " Who Would'nt wanna be me ", Mark Chesnutt's " Cowboy & A Dancer", Josh Turners " Would You Go with Me " and many more. It was a great mix.

Everyone really enjoyed Bob, he is so much fun and we had a very enjoyable evening. Thank's Bob.

Maria Lee - Saturday 3rd May 2008

Our Artist for the Evening was Maria Lee, what a very talented young Lady with an excellent voice.

It was Maria Lee's first visit to our club & Everyone loved her, she gave us three very good set's of all pure country music. We had covers from the likes of Carlene Carter, Emmylou Harris, Joni Harms, Terri Clark, Sara Evans, The Mavericks "Dance The Night Away", Rodney Crowells "Lovin All Night" Black Coffee, & Dolly Partons hit " Yellow Roses".

Poor Maria was suffering from Kidney Stones & in some pain, but she gave a great performance and We do hope she is feeling better now.

We had a good turnout, considering it was a Bank Holiday, a few more new faces, Thank You to everyone that came along & supported us.
